Built with the Latest AC LED from Samsung!
Our GU10 LED bulb has been built with the latest LED technology from Samsung. It's the only bulb we sell that doesn't require a built in driver/transformer. Traditional LED's require a low voltage DC supply, therefore most LED bulbs have a built in driver/transformer to step down the voltage. Samsung's latest AC LED is different. It's designed to work straight from mains 230V AC without the need for a driver.
Benefits of a Driverless GU10 LED Bulb
The main benefit of this bulb over standard GU10 LED bulbs is reliability. If an LED bulb fails it's most likely the driver that's faulty. It's rare an LED actually fails.The second benefit is increased dimming compatibility. It can be used with most dimmer switches providing the switch is loaded correctly.
Our bulb has an integrated light prism to produce a uniform light beam. An all-aluminium body has been specially designed for heat management to keep the bulb bright over its 50,000 hour life.
Uses only 6 watts of energy to provide a similar light output as a halogen 50 watt bulb.
